National coach assistant coach

The National Head Coach Tommy Legind Mortensen has chosen his competent assistant- coach, and the choice fell on the well-known and experienced coach.

Master Helgi Rafn Guðmundsson

From this day on, Helgi will be a large part of the supporting forces on the Icelandic national team, which in this current period is building a solid and sustainable infrastructure. The national team has also called in reinforcements for the country’s club coaches, and the idea is that in the long run there will be more connected coaches associated with the Icelandic national team, where the big task will be to increase the amount in favor of the committed active athletes. Currently the following Connect Trainers are:
